Getting Ready For Summer

I always love the thought of daily moisturising and fake tanning my body, but the reality is, I'm too lazy and forgetful. This year, I have decided to change things. I will have soft, tanned, glowy skin and I will always have a perfect manicure and pedicure. I moan about doing it, but I always feel so much better about myself if I've given myself a pamper and know that i look the best I can.

So on Sunday, while I was buying some holiday clothes, I treated myself to some face and body products, to get ready for summer. Luckily, Boots had the same idea as me and it was 3 for 2 on all face and body products to get yourself Summer Ready.

Now as much as I love to be tanned, I am pale. I'm the palest person I've ever met. My friend, Jemma, calls me pale and interesting. So i find it hard to find tanning products that don't make me orange from just looking at them. I picked up the Garnier Summer Body gradual tan moistuiser, which I already know I love, but have unfortunately got two of the darker one in my beauty drawers. The dark one will look good once I have built up the light tan, but is just too much for now, so I got the light one.

Garnier SummerBody Sun-Kissed Moisturising Lotion £7.15 for 400ml.

Us girls all know that to stop your tan from being streaky and patchy, we need to moisturise and exfoliate before we do anything, so i have been using my holy grail body butter from The Body Shop in Candied Ginger- this smells divine, but only comes out at Christmas so I have to stock up when I can get it. The Body Shop body butters are my favourite moisturisers ever. I don't think I'd use any others now that I've discovered them and I have 5 of them stocked in my beauty drawers so that I never have to be without them! So that's the moistuiser I use and while I was in Boots, I picked up the Soap and Glory 'The Scrub Of Your Life' exfoliator. This isn't one I've used before, but I'm slowly working my way through trying everything in their range (all of which I've loved so far) and this was next on my list. As soon as I've tried it properly, I will do a review on here for you to see.

Soap and Glory 'Scrub of Your Life' Exfoliator £7.00 for 200ml and The Body Shop 'Candied Ginger' Body Butter (from the Xmas range) £12.00 for 200ml.
I am a big fan of hot cloth cleansers. It started with Liz Earle, and I've worked my way through every hot cloth cleanser I can get my hands on. In fact, that's a good idea for a blog post. Watch this space! So as the third item in my 3 for 2, I got the No 7 Beautiful Skin hot cloth cleanser, which comes in a 200ml pump, with a muslin cloth.

No7 Beautiful Skin Hot Cloth Cleanser £10.00 for 200ml.
Lastly, but not least, I also got the Mega Volume Collagene 24hr Mascara by L'Oreal. Another one that I haven't tried before, but I'm a mascara junkie. I have never found my perfect mascara. Dior Diorshow Blackout comes very close, but I just can't afford to pay that kind of money every three weeks when it dries out. Maybe this will be the one, I'll let you know.
L'oreal Mega Volume Collagene 24hr Mascara in black. £9.99 for 9ml.
Next time we speak, hopefully I'll be tanned, toned and ready to hit the beach! I'll keep you posted on that!
