Feeling Hot Hot Hot!

The weather where I live has been amazing over the past week or so and I have ben enjoying it so much!
We spent the whole weekend enjoying the sun. We had a lazy day at my mums, sunbathing and having a barbeque in the evening, which was delicious. Why does food always taste better eaten outside, a bit burnt from a BBQ?!

On Sunday we went over to my mums again (she has the bigger garden!). We picked my sister up and decided to go and buy a paddling pool. I think the whole of my county must have had the same idea as we tried the Asda nearest us and Argos, both of which had nothing, but then struck gold with another Asda and managed to get the last pool! I was so excited!

My sister and I spent the whole day sitting in the pool, eating ice lollies and having water fights. Exactly how summer should be! I'm just hoping it stays like this until September!

Today, I have spent the morning filming a couple of videos for youtube, please go and have a look if you fancy! You can find them here. I'm going in town this afternoon to meet my friend, buy some birthday presents for my husband and get a half price frappuccino at Starbucks! Happy hour is from 3-5 until 5th June, so I will be taking full advantage!

I am so pleased that our friends Lucy and Chris had their little baby boy on 23rd May. He was 5 weeks early, but is obviously a strong little boy as he is getting to go home today! They named him Noah and he weighed 5lbs 4oz, which I think is a good weight considering how early he was. I cant wait to have a snuggle with him, it makes me very broody!

Hope you've all been enjoying this glorious weather as much as we have.

Holiday Haul

As I have told you in my last few posts, we are off to Turkey for two weeks in July, so I just had to treat myself to some new things to wear for my travels.
The majority of the stuff that I got was from Primark, as it is just for holiday, will probably only be worn on holiday and so I can't justify splashing out a big amount of money on things that I will probably only wear for 2 weeks of the year. I might think differently if the flippin' weather would perk up a bit in the UK! I did also get some things from H&M- I could have bought everything in the shop, they have some great stuff in there at the moment.

Here's a few of the things that I got...

Purple Maxi Dress and Boat Print Maxi Dress both £10 from Primark.

I adore the print on this maxi- so cute!

L-R Skirt/Vest Dress £12.99 H&M, Pink, Green & White Sundress £7.00 Primark, Blue & White Floral, Strapless Dress, £7.00 Primark.

L-R USA Faded Flag Vest £3.00 Primark, Polka Dot Sundress £12.99 H&M, Red LoverBuoy Vest £3.00 Primark.

These tan and silver sandals were a bargain at £3.00, reduced from £6.00 from Primark. Also come in tan and gold.
I squealed out loud when I saw these mint, rubber flip flops with rhinestone bows, they're one of my absolute favourite colours and match the bow tattoo that I have on my foot! Perfect! £5.00 from Primark.
Navy star cut out sunglasses £1 and gold and turquoise ring £2.50 both Primark.

I can't wait for the weather to wear these and would love your thoughts on how you would style them and what you would put with them. I think I'm going to do a whole 1950's theme with the polkadot dress- red lipstick, winged eyeliner, pin curls and red peep toe heels.

What do you think?

Back2MAC

My favourite ever ever ever makeup brand in the world is MAC. I could happily buy all of my makeup from there and nowhere else (if I had the money). I heard about 'Back2MAC' a few months ago and I think it's such a great idea and I've been itching to take advantage of the scheme since I heard.

For those of you who don't know the ins and outs of it, Back2MAC is a deal where if you take in the packaging of six empty products- not the cardboard boxes that they come in, just the glass/plastic container that actually holds the product, they will give you any free lipstick except for the VivaGlam ones as the money from them goes to charity.

I was so excited when I went into town on Monday as I had finally used up six products and popped them all into a little bag on the shelf by the door to take with me when I left. Well... I'm sure you can guess what happened- I forgot to take my empties! I only realised when I walked past the MAC counter and almost stamped my foot in frustration!

My collection of empties ready to be exchanged.

Anyway, I'm quite glad that I have a little more time to decide on the freebie lipstick, as there is such a big choice, I just cant decide! I think I have narrowed it down to 4 candidates- Red Racer from the Hello Sailor summer collection, Saint Germain- a perfect barbie pink, Morange- a bright orange, not like any others I have or my absolute favourite ever lipstick- Creme Cup. I already own one of this shade, but I use it so often that I could always do with a backup.

My old faithful Creme Cup.
My husband thinks I'm crazy- so much deliberation over one shade of lipstick! But I've been collecting my empties for so long now, I don't want to pick a bad one and have wasted them!

What are your favourite MAC lipsticks? Which would you pick?

Getting Ready For Summer

I always love the thought of daily moisturising and fake tanning my body, but the reality is, I'm too lazy and forgetful. This year, I have decided to change things. I will have soft, tanned, glowy skin and I will always have a perfect manicure and pedicure. I moan about doing it, but I always feel so much better about myself if I've given myself a pamper and know that i look the best I can.

So on Sunday, while I was buying some holiday clothes, I treated myself to some face and body products, to get ready for summer. Luckily, Boots had the same idea as me and it was 3 for 2 on all face and body products to get yourself Summer Ready.

Now as much as I love to be tanned, I am pale. I'm the palest person I've ever met. My friend, Jemma, calls me pale and interesting. So i find it hard to find tanning products that don't make me orange from just looking at them. I picked up the Garnier Summer Body gradual tan moistuiser, which I already know I love, but have unfortunately got two of the darker one in my beauty drawers. The dark one will look good once I have built up the light tan, but is just too much for now, so I got the light one.

Garnier SummerBody Sun-Kissed Moisturising Lotion £7.15 for 400ml.

Us girls all know that to stop your tan from being streaky and patchy, we need to moisturise and exfoliate before we do anything, so i have been using my holy grail body butter from The Body Shop in Candied Ginger- this smells divine, but only comes out at Christmas so I have to stock up when I can get it. The Body Shop body butters are my favourite moisturisers ever. I don't think I'd use any others now that I've discovered them and I have 5 of them stocked in my beauty drawers so that I never have to be without them! So that's the moistuiser I use and while I was in Boots, I picked up the Soap and Glory 'The Scrub Of Your Life' exfoliator. This isn't one I've used before, but I'm slowly working my way through trying everything in their range (all of which I've loved so far) and this was next on my list. As soon as I've tried it properly, I will do a review on here for you to see.

Soap and Glory 'Scrub of Your Life' Exfoliator £7.00 for 200ml and The Body Shop 'Candied Ginger' Body Butter (from the Xmas range) £12.00 for 200ml.
I am a big fan of hot cloth cleansers. It started with Liz Earle, and I've worked my way through every hot cloth cleanser I can get my hands on. In fact, that's a good idea for a blog post. Watch this space! So as the third item in my 3 for 2, I got the No 7 Beautiful Skin hot cloth cleanser, which comes in a 200ml pump, with a muslin cloth.

No7 Beautiful Skin Hot Cloth Cleanser £10.00 for 200ml.
Lastly, but not least, I also got the Mega Volume Collagene 24hr Mascara by L'Oreal. Another one that I haven't tried before, but I'm a mascara junkie. I have never found my perfect mascara. Dior Diorshow Blackout comes very close, but I just can't afford to pay that kind of money every three weeks when it dries out. Maybe this will be the one, I'll let you know.
L'oreal Mega Volume Collagene 24hr Mascara in black. £9.99 for 9ml.
Next time we speak, hopefully I'll be tanned, toned and ready to hit the beach! I'll keep you posted on that!

I've been a busy girl...

I have been so busy these past few months that I haven't had the time (or internet) to keep up with my blog. But I'm totally back now with lots of new stuff to tell you about and blog about.
We moved into our new house about 2 weeks ago and have only just sorted out the internet properly and got everything where it should be, so right now is the first time I've had to just sit and write a blog post and catch up with emails, youtube and things like that.

I'm loving having a house and will write a whole other post on it, so won't bore you too much with this one. We're going to Turkey on 9th July, which i just can't wait for, but also am dreading as I have put quite a bit of weight on in the past couple of years, since I last had a beach holiday. Last year was fine as we only went to the beach once and it was empty! I cheered myself up today by buying some new bits for the holiday, so at least I will have clothes that fit. I still have 6 weeks to try and lose a few pounds, but I find it very hard to lose weight, so we shall see what happens.

Our good friends Beck and Nick had a delivery from the stork on Saturday 5th May, baby Lucy Elizabeth was born, weighing 7lb 12oz and she is absolutely beautiful! I have met her a few times now and had lovely cuddles, which has made me extremely broody! Hopefully it won't be too long until the Hubby and I are starting our own little family.

I've been thinking a lot recently about maybe making my own YouTube channel. Possibly just an extension of this blog- things I've bought recently, vlogs, chit chat, etc. I am obsessed with watching the beauty and lifestyle blogs on there and would love to make my own. I'd love to know what you guys think of this idea, yay or nay? Oh and I've become adicted to using Instagram so if you'd like to follow me on there its @NatHardman.

I think that's probably all the gossip I have at the moment. I'll be blogging regularly from now on, I'm sorry for my absence.
