FOTD: Good Old Smoky Eyes

I'm off in about 20 minutes to see Legally Blonde The Musical at DeMontfort Hall in Leicester with my sister in law. I thought I would share my makeup look with you before I go.

My favourite look to do is a smoky eye look, with nude lips. It's my go-to makeup for evenings or more formal events.

I've used MAC's Print all over the lid, with Creep from the Naked pallete in the crease and corners and a tiny bit of black eyeliner on the lower lashline.
I'm not loving my hair at the moment, I'm waiting for a hairdressers appointment to have a trim and have my fringe sorted out, so I've plaited it and pinned it out of the way. I'm also trying to grow all of the colour out so I can start again but it's becoming very tedious :(

What I Used

MAC StudioFix Fluid Foundation in NC15
MAC StudioFix Powder Plus Foundation in NC15
Collection 2000 Lastin perfection Concealer in Light
NARS blush in Orgasm
Urban Decay eyeshadow (as a highlighter) in virgin
MAC eyeshadow in Print
Urban Decay eyeshadow in Creep
Maybelline Colossal Volume mascara in black
Mac cremesheen lipstick in Creme Cup.

Life Update

I haven't been a very good blogger recently, I'm sorry!
I have been SO busy, it's unbelievable. We got a house!!!! I am so excited!!! My husband is starting his new job by going to Amsterdam at 3am tomorrow (Monday) and we will be getting our new car as soon as he is back on Thursday evening.
Phew!
Everything has happened so quickly with the house. We went to view 3 on Monday. The first one was awful, the current tenant was still living there and has just left it in a horrible mess and the garden was horrible. The second one (our new house!) we fell in love with as soon as we walked through the door. The kitchen is gorgeous, the living room is huge compared to our tiny flat and the garden is lovely!
I had a small breakdown though, as like I said, we looked around 3 properties. After we fell in love with house number 2, we still had to go and look around house number 3, which I thought I would love as it had one more bedroom than the other two and a dining room. The lady showing us round number 2 (funny as it is actually number 2 on the street!) told us that there were two other couples looking round the house after us, so we went to look round house number 3 and were very disappointed to find that it was horrible. There was actually a whole plate full of cigarette ends in the kitchen which put us right off.
The next morning we got up as early as we could to go to the estate agents and apply for our lovely house, but prepared ourselves that it would probably be gone. We were so relieved to find that it wasn't gone, our application was accepted and we were given a moving date of April 27th!
We went shopping afterwards and bought a fridge and lots of bits for my kitchen, which is going to be sort of 50's diner, pastel colour themed.
Here's a few of the kitchen bits I've bought...

The house also has a lovely, big driveway which will be perfect for our my husband's new car! He starts work at his new job tomorrow, which involves him going to Amsterdam for 4 days training and his company car will be waiting at the airport for him on Thursday when he gets back! I'm so proud of him as he works very hard to provide a lovely life for us and this job is a big step out of his comfort zone, but I think he's going to love it!

If anyone sees anything pastel coloured and to do with the kitchen, then please keep me in mind as I'm looking for all things pale pink, pale blue, mint green, lilac and lemon, so let me know if you see anything along those lines!
