Dream Houses

Since we visited San Francisco last May, I have been absolutely in love with Victorian Houses. The streets of most of the city are lined with these beautiful, colourful, original houses. Each one is unique and different.
Each time I saw a different one, I decided it was my favourite and I just had to have it, but then I would see another one and change my mind!

The picture above is one I took of a row of houses that they call 'The Painted Ladies' in Alamo Square, SF. They feature in a lot of films and TV shows. This view is called Postcard Row, and you can definitely see why.
Some of my favourite houses were in the Haight/Ashbury area. This is where the colours were even more extreme, as this is where Hippies originated in the 60's! We saw houses painted as rainbows, metallic gold houses, a huge pair of legs hanging out of a window and even Mrs Doubtfire's house!

The owners of these houses put in so much work, time and money to keep these houses looking as gorgeous as they do. I was so impressed by them. I didn't even know that they existed until we visited San Francisco and now I can't wait to go back there one day to see them all again.
Here's a few of my favourites...

This one looks like a perfect dollhouse.

I adore the colours and pattern on this one.

This is a beautiful, more understated house, I love the gold detailing.

I love the colours and different levels of this one.

They look amazing all together, painted lots of different colours.

So if anyone wants to buy me one of these beautiful houses, please don't hesitate!!
